Knew it’s gonna come sooner or later. Most probably due to the sudden hot / cold condition, from 30 degrees to below zero degees to 30 degrees again. Part of jetlag? maybe… not enough sleep… not enough fluid… too much MSG and sugary stuffs ( think chocolates… chocolates and more chocolates!) Come to think of it, for most part of the trip, i only survived on very little. Here’s a list of my rations for each day:
Breakfast:
- 1 packet of Oreo ( which contains 3 oreos )
- 1 mini Kinder Bueno
- a cup of Milo
Lunch : ( when out shooting )
- 2 mini Milky Bar
- 2 mini Toblerone bar
- 1 packet of Oreo ( which contains 3 oreos )
- some gummi sweets
- less than half a bottle of water
Dinner:
- a cup/ bowl instant noodles
for some weird reason, i dun feel tired at all carrying the camera equipments. If i were in singapore, i would have felt neck and back aches once the day is over. But for this trip, i had totalled about 8 days of continuous shooting and i’m not even a wee bit tired! And due to the cold weather, i didn’t drink much water at all coz i dun feel the thirstyness although i know my body is very dehydrated.
I think the only day that we ate good food is on the nite of Day 6 at Chengdu. Ate at a super duper grand chinese restaurant. Ate such terrific food such as braised tofu, whole big big pot of chicken herbal soup, etc etc… and all of them only adds up to about $20 SGD per person!!!
Think everyone is suffering from the same kinda of illness. Fever, soar throat, cough. Just had almost 6 hours of bed rest in the afternoon…. that’s almost like sleeping another of my night away!

nay, doesn’t look torture to me. it’s more like fun!
anyway, i figure shooting in a cooler country will not be as tiring as singapore. hot weather really can wear you out. i can’t wait to go somewhere cold. haha.

On the contrary, you tend to usually need more food when the weather is cold. That’s because in order to keep warm, your budy will need an increase of energy intake, in the form of food, to burn in order to keep you warm.

i dun feel hungry though… maybe coz i’ve got lots of excess fats to burn off.. haha… lugging camera equipments already kept me warm… lol
