About poachers…. “These Hitlers use the camouflage of science to make money out of animals… So whenever they murder our animals and call it sustainable use, I’ll fight it. Since when has killing a wild animal, eating it or wearing it, ever saved a species? There are people who butt out their cigarettes in gorilla-paw ashtrays, with wastepaper baskets that were once elephant feet, who have ivory ornaments… who wear cheetah fur. Don’t buy these things! Then there’ll be no market and the animals won’t be killed.”
It’s sad how some people just have utterly no respect for him, or any people or living things out there other than their own. It’s unfortunate….
Steve’s life was larger than life…. larger than most of ours. He died doing what he love the most. I think that’s the only way he would had wanted to go. Saw clips of him on Animal Planet again today and i’m always moved by what he said ( even before he died )….
i think it goes something like this….
” When people care about wildlife, they would want to save it…. The reason i’m here, the reason i was put onto this Earth, is to save wildlife and educate people about their plight…”
