It has certainly been a while since I’ve last wrote anything productive at this blog.
Essentially, not being productive here translates to being productive somewhere else, or so I lead you to believe

Bid goodbye to freelance and hello to Techsailor!
Gave a Borneo talk/photo presentation at SGH (Singapore General Hospital).
Had many belated 23rd bday celebrations coz my friends were THAT busy ;P
Morning low-tide adventure trail and afternoon sun-tanning at the shoreline of Sentosa.

Amongst many other things which i regretted not recording it down coz i just can’t seems to recall at the moment. All i know is that the past month seems to have passed me by at the speed of light ( figuratively speaking… ). Sometimes, being busy can be a good thing. But i do miss having some alone time by myself and just taking it slow and being ONE with the world, my world. I seems to have accomplished that today

It was such a glorious Sunday morning. The weather was cool and breezy, sky was overcast but with the sun still shining through the clouds and the birds were chirping happily, as was I ( but i don’t chirp ). We seldom get this kinda nice cool weather here on the sunny island of Singapore. Usually, one would have snuggled in bed for that extra few minutes or even went back to sleep altogether. But i just have to jump out of bed early for a lovely morning stroll to get my favourite Turkey Ham Croissant breakfast from Burger King. As i enjoy the wonderful breeze that blew across my face and slow down my footsteps to admire the residential mynahs, sparrows, doves and cats along the way and silently greeting them a good morning. All these little things are very precious to me. It may be common things, like a beautiful scenery, a wonderful breeze, or the twinkling stars on a cloudless night but it makes me really happy. Makes me think that life is indeed beautiful no matter what happens…

I was invited by Jd & Rex to join the Techsailor executive team in May along with Wayne and Leon. Techsailor is a web solutions company founded and incorporated back in 2005 (about a year and a half ago). We will gradually be moving towards Venture Technologist in the near future. Currently, we have several high valuation project underway, which explains my online absence. But that DOESN’T mean that it’s all work and no fun! As you can see from the rest of this entry, we are a young and dynamic group of people.

Aside from company runs every Tuesday and Thursday if possible, we plays other sports such as badminton, even in the office as demonstrated here by Jd and Rex!

I’ve been eating way too much for the past few days leading up to my bday.

Friday - Dinner with Evie, budak at Ken’s ramen. Thankfully, me and Evie shared the huge bowl of ramen else i would have wasted food again. Then it’s Island Creamery ice cream, had the burnt caramel flavor. Really nice but i’m also really full at this point of time.

Saturday - Lunch at Ichiban Boshi with poly mates. Ate 8 pieces of suhi and my fave chawanmushi! After the chawanmushi, i was pretty much drugged

Sunday - Dinner with ex-colleagues at Hog’s Breathe at CHIJMES. Then it’s night safari and Ben&Jerry’s ice cream.

Today - Birthday! and running a fever too!

Now i think i need get-well-soon wishes too! Don’t think i’m seeing a doc tonite, Never seems to be able to finish the prescriptions of antibiotics in the past. Don’t think i shall stuff myself with more.

I know many of my friends are really busy with graduation for this month. So i thought it would be better that i come up with a wish list for my bday ( 30th Apr ) so it will be easier for you guys. Don’t have to head out to do shopping
And since Earth Day (22th Apr) is also coming soon, i guess it’s an excuse for us to help save the environment too and to give meaningful gifts not only to me, but to Nature and it would be so great to have all my friends contribute to the good cause together! I have researched for a few days for reputable organisations that i want to help. Hope that’s useful. If you have any organizations that you have in mind, you can suggest it to me. Or better yet, donate directly to the organisation. I don’t need the gifts. Just let me know if you have done that. I’ll appreciate that too.

1. Adopt a Cheetah Cub. Remember Jarrett? I would really appreciate it if you can help me adopt another one of it’s kind here at CCF - Cheetah Conservation Centre. I would love to adopt Orion for many obvious reasons Another alternative is to save a wild cheetah cub, cost 25 pounds. Go here…

2. Plant a Tree. The more trees planted, the better! The cork oak forests of the Mediterranean are endangered and could be lost within 10 years because of the increasing popularity of the screw-top wine bottle. Now you know! read more here…

3. WWF Adopt a Panda/Tiger/Orangutan/Dolphin Any one of these endangered animal will be great….

4. Sea Shephard. I’m sure most of you have seen the video footage of Seal Clubbing and the Taiji Dolphin Massacre. If you haven’t, please note that some of the footages are extremely graphic. If you have, i don’t have to explain further.

5. Whale Songs : Natural Recordings. I’m always moved to tears when i listen to whale singing… i love it.

Almost had a heart attack. As usual my morning routine is switch on my comp, brush teeth and stuff… then come back to my room and go online. But this morning, my comp is not starting no matter how many times i tried! Checked the power socket, plug and unplug, the monitor is on, but the cpu just wasn’t breathing or moving at all! no sound, nothing!

So i told myself… “Freak out about it later.” So i went on to have breakfast while watching Animal Planet, charge my flat-batt handphone so that i can call my friend for help later if the comp really died. Then come back to my room. Open up my CPU, touched a few internal organs and blood vessels here and there. Close it back and switch it on and Viola! It’s BREATHING again!!!! I think i have a healing touch!

Thankfully, i put freaking about it till later. Ese, i would have wasted alot of energy jumping and screaming and still not get it to work. Phew…. In times of danger or emergency, stay CALM. it will figure itself out sooner or later. Well, usually sooner if you stay calm that is.
